>Febuary 19th as part of MASE.North Wales Theatre, Llanduddno (2001).
i can remember me and matt getting the train to llandudno, matt writing nofx on the bench as we were waiting for the train- then sniffing the pen. nick (our first drummer) said that if we drank even a drop of alchohol he wouldn't play drums for us. we thourght he was gay about all that but we sucked his ass cos he was amazing on drums. joe's bad haircut were supposed to play aswell but their drummer (mike) broke is arm somehow. i carnt remember who else played but they were all shit limp bizkit cover bands. we played really badly and kind of turned the whole gig into one big joke because we just knew we were just so terrible. nick's parents recorded it and nick got pissed off that we sucked so much.
>March 23rd as part of MASE. North wales Theatre, Llanduddno (2001).
after a few more practises, we came to our 2nd gig. again- i dunno who else played. we were much better this time but the crowd were shit... honest. after this gig- nick left the band.
>June 18th as part of MASE. North wales theatre, Llanduddno (2001).
for this gig we had a crazy bastard on drums- jamie cardno. the first time that all 3 of us had played together was at the soundcheck for this gig. i'd been jammin with jamie at college and matt knew all the songs already. i remember dead hedgehog were playing, who were apparently quite good and nick's new band "type 20". others played but i missed em all and only just got their in time to play myself because i was trying to sourght out a tramp alchoholic guy who'd just been kicked in by his scum-bag girlfriend. we all got leathered and the crowd was pretty cool too. we pissed off a lot of people, very funny gig. it was our set at this gig that made the organisers of mase decide that mase should be a anti-alchohol and anti-drug event! which pissed off even more people. we still played shite though.
>August 13th as part of MASE. North Wales theatre, Llanduddno (2001).
this gig we took 6 bottles of matt's home brew. and we were plastered for the soundcheck. the organisers of mase said if we had anymore to drink then we wouldnt be playing that night. so we went outside to finish off the booze and when we needed to get back in, i got searched by the security people and the woman security person thourght i had whiskey (2 x 2litres bottles of it!!) i laughed at how stupid she was. then they found my bottle of whiskey and let me go. bastards. i never remember who the other bands are at mase unless they're any good.we didnt play too bad, i think. after this gig matt left, and gaz and leigh joined.
>November 2nd at Catz in rhyl (2001).
this gig was a bit crazy. matt left on the wednesday, we got a new bassist on thursday, practised all day friday and played that same night. it was good though. and ste-ska said our set was like rancid. ste-ska is cool. we were supporting dive, carpet and fudged. we didn't do too bad. not too many fuck ups.
>November 12th as part of MASE. North wales theatre, Llandudno (2001).
we recorded this gig on video, and on tape. it wasnt going too bad until my voice squecked on a really high note in one of the songs (that song was the first song we played!). we didnt play too bad and then mase cut our set, which sucked. jamie flipped and had a huge go at steve hippy after we'de finished playing. steve hippy got scared and promised we could headline the next mase we play.
>December 7th at The New Inn in Rhyl (2001).
this gig was alright, we were supporting carpet. and they played some ramones covers (LoudMouth and I Dont Wanna Walk Around With You) which was good. we didnt play too bad. neil crud described us as "dirty stench driven punk rock".
>January 3rd at Penrhyn Old Hall, Penrhyn Bay (2002).
Joe's bad haircut had been in contact with us for a while but due to them going to university and shit like that- we'de never got round to doing a gig together. they got a gig sorted and invited us to support. we managed to get appease from manchester to play aswell! we didnt play too bad. pete alien said we were playing to the wrong crowd. the crowd was dead. appease were really good though, blew us and joe's bad haircut away for sure!
>January 7th as part of mase. North wales theatre, Llandudno (2002).
this was the recording that we wanted to give away to get ourselves known locally. we played probably the best we've ever played. and no high pitched squecking this time. the crowd has cool- erika old and steve hippy were getting crushed at the front, trying to stop people coming on stage. dave eskimo took photos of the gig (which i still havent seen- HINT HINT!!!). We were supposed to be headlining this gig but decided not to because we were recording the gig, and only really had 6 songs that were solid. plus, if you left the building you're not allowed back in and we wanted to go to the pub. its not fun sitting in that place all night waiting to play.
>January 11th at The New Inn in Rhyl (2002).
This gig was boring. fudged and dive played. they were good but we sucked badly. we just played really badly. for this gig, we decided to play the not so fast songs at the start and get faster and faster further on into the set. it didnt work, we just stayed slow and shit and boring. after this gig, we went on a gig break until we'd had another practise and learnt some new stuff.
>Febuary 9th at Penrhyn Old Hall, Penrhyn Bay (2002).
This gig was cool, we played with 3cr, mere dead men and local hardcore punk band out of use. we'd been wanting to play with out of use for ages, its lucky that we got to play this gig with them cos we split after this. It was good though, we played well and to the right crowd. we got offered for a gig in birkenhead and some incorraging comments of random drunk old men. there was a really good atmosphere at this one.
